Rural children need your help.
Each year over 6600 children are born in remote and isolated communities across Australia. BushED is introducing a new service to help improve literacy from birth and we’re keen to work with passionate authors excited about the prospect of sharing their books and stories with families in these communities.
Research has found that reading storybooks to children is one of the most important activities for developing the knowledge required for eventual success in reading. Reading to pre-schoolers has been found to be related to language growth, emergent literacy and reading achievement.
